I'm in good shape, but I can't get rid of this tummy pooch!
I work out for about an hour or more on a near daily basis. Though I feel I am doing a good job combining cardio with strength training and core, I have this horrible "pooch" for a stomach. I have lost a lot of body fat, built muscle, and I'm in the normal bmi range, but I just can't seem to shape up my mid section. What can I do to really get this in the same shape as the rest of me? I already do about 250-300 reps each workout - do I really have to do more?

Is your "tummy pooch" fat or just loose skin from losing so much weight? if it is fat then you just have to stick with it, if it is lose skin then surgery is the inly real fix for that. Andrew - thanks for your response! I'm taking a chance in sounding completely ignorant - but how do you know for sure whether it's mostly fat or loose skin? I would think at this stage, there is probably both, only because I have been able to shed a lot of weight, but I'm not quite to my goal. Also - could you explain anaerobic training a bit more? Would this be exercises like yoga? Or strength training using balance/body weight? Thanks again! |
