unless you are a very serious athlete and need to challenge your body more or want to work on balance etc. I would suggest you stay away from lunges.

Stick with the basics like squats, as they work the glutes, hamstrings and quads just as good if not better than lunges, and the best part you are more stable as you are on 2 feet.

I have seen far too many injuries from people getting too fancy with what they do, when they do not need to.
