They are not unhealthy at all, they have some healthy fats and are a great source of protein. Just don't eat too many in one sitting or else they could potentially be fattening. read the label and get an idea for how many calories they have per serving, then measure out the serving.

Peanuts are fattening if you eat a huge amount of peanuts, but they are not any more fattening than eating anything else. if you eat too much of anything you will store the excess calories as fat.
So the answer to your question if peanuts are fattening or not is NO.
